Lana Del Rey says her upcoming album Stove will be accompanied by a second record, according to a July 15 Instagram post cited by Pitchfork. She said the companion project should be finished in about a month.
Del Rey also appeared to share artwork for both releases, but she did not confirm a title for the companion album or give a release date for either record. In the post, she described the two albums as “two of my most beautiful pieces of work.”
She said Stove is meant to stand as a classic album and noted that some of the music from it has already been heard on tour, though not all of it. Del Rey added that the second album grew over time as a kind of reflection on what has been happening around her and the patience it took to keep going.
Del Rey first announced the follow-up to her 2023 album Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd in 2024, and it has since gone through reported title changes and delays. In the meantime, she has released several songs, teased more new music at Stagecoach in 2025, and recently wrote the theme song for the James Bond video game First Light, according to Pitchfork.
