Slash says Guns N’ Roses have a lot of writing going on

Slash says Guns N’ Roses have new music in the works, with “a lot of writing going on” inside the band, according to NME.

In a podcast interview with Rolling Stone Australia, Slash said the group is hoping to get into the studio soon. He added that any new Guns N’ Roses material would have to wait until after his upcoming album with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators is released.

Guns N’ Roses have not put out a full-length album since 2008’s Chinese Democracy. The last album that featured either Slash or bassist Duff McKagan was 1993’s The Spaghetti Incident?

Slash also said he has no interest in leaving the band again, explaining that he enjoys playing with the other members. He said the group gets together to jam and keep things simple.

Since reuniting in 2016 with Axl Rose, Duff McKagan and Slash, the band has continued to fuel speculation about new music. Slash has said in the past that there is already material for a new record, but that the timing depends on when the group decides to make it happen.
