Simone Biles shared a new health update this week, posting on Instagram Story that she had a procedure on July 22 with her husband, Jonathan Owens, accompanying her, according to E! News.
In one post, Biles joked about Owens taking her to the appointment on his birthday and shared a selfie from the hospital in a gown and cap. She also posted a photo of flowers he surprised her with after she returned from the Dominican Republic the night before his birthday.
Biles first told followers on June 6 that “almost dying wasn't on my bingo card,” describing the experience as one of the scariest of her life. At the time, she said Owens was in Indianapolis for practice when the emergency happened.
She later said she had been resting and thanked people in her close circle who reached out, visited or sent flowers. In a later comment to a fan, Biles said she was “not ready to talk about it just yet.”
