Olivia Culpo says she is planning a C-section for her second child with husband Christian McCaffrey, according to E! News. In a July 23 TikTok, the model explained that a vaginal birth after cesarean was not an option because she had a C-section in July of last year.
Culpo, 34, is in her third trimester and said the couple is working around McCaffrey’s schedule with the San Francisco 49ers. She said she arranged the delivery for a day when he has a lighter schedule so he can be present for the birth.
“Basically, it’s on an off day for him, so he’ll be able to come just for the birth,” Culpo said, adding that he will need to return to work afterward. She said this time will be different from her first delivery.
Even with McCaffrey’s training camp commitments, Culpo said she will have support from loved ones during her recovery. She added that she is grateful for her “village” and, jokingly, her “large security detail team.”
Culpo first announced the pregnancy on her birthday in May, calling it her “best birthday gift,” according to E! News.
