Shawn Johnson East is giving fans an update on her 2-year-old son, Barrett “Bear” East, after his recent surgery, according to E! News.
In an Instagram Stories post shared July 30, Johnson East said Bear had his second set of ear tubes placed and had his adenoids removed. She wrote that the operation went well, though he had a difficult time waking up from anesthesia.
Johnson East said the recovery was especially tough at first, noting that children can have a rough transition coming out of anesthesia. She added that the family was back home after the outpatient procedure.
Despite the rough start, she said Bear showed improvement within hours of arriving home and began asking for food and drinks. Johnson East and husband Andrew East also share two other children, Drew Hazel East and Jett James East.
