Alabama Barker is firing back at online body-shaming with a blunt message about Ozempic. In a July 30 TikTok video, the 22-year-old said she would go on the “highest dose” of the Type 2 diabetes medication, which some people in Hollywood have used for weight loss, according to E! News.
She said the insults she sees online have pushed her to react in a dramatic way, adding that she would become so thin people would tell her to eat a burger. Barker also directed anger at trolls in the video, saying she hated the way they speak to her about her body.
This is not the first time Barker has talked publicly about insecurities tied to her weight. In 2024, she confirmed on TikTok that she was taking “weight loss medication” after being bullied for her appearance, though she did not name the drug at the time.
Her mother, Shanna Moakler, has also spoken openly about using Mounjaro, another Type 2 diabetes medication with appetite-reducing effects. In a 2024 interview with People, Moakler said she had been in a dark place after losing her parents, but has since gained more confidence and said she no longer cares what others think of her.
