Robbie Williams surprised CMAT and fans on day two of Bilbao BBK Live 2026 when he ran on stage during her late-night set, according to NME. Williams had already headlined the festival’s main stage earlier that evening.
Near the end of her Repsol stage performance, CMAT — whose real name is Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson — joked about Williams before leading the audience in a singalong of his song “Angels.” As the crowd finished singing, Williams came on stage to loud cheers and hugged the singer.
CMAT told the audience that the moment had not been arranged in advance, saying it may have looked planned but was not. During the set, she also mentioned Olivia Rodrigo’s recent BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge cover of her song “When A Good Man Cries.”
Rodrigo previously praised CMAT as an “incredible, unique songwriter” while covering the track from CMAT’s album “Euro-Country.” CMAT has also recently spoken publicly about online abuse and body shaming, following comments made after her appearance at Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2026 earlier this summer, according to NME.
