Amy Schumer shared a new bikini photo on Instagram Stories that showed the C-section scar from when she gave birth to her son, Gene, according to E! News. She wrote over the image, “C-section peaking out saying, ‘Yeah, I’m a warrior.’”
In the photo, Schumer wore a cream bikini while the scar was visible above her swimsuit bottoms. She also posted a second image of herself and Gene watching fireworks together on the beach.
Schumer has spoken before about how difficult her delivery was. On a 2019 episode of the Informed Pregnancy and Parenting podcast, she said she was throwing up during the first hour of her C-section and that the procedure took more than three hours because of her endometriosis, according to E! News.
Schumer and ex-husband Chris Fischer announced in December that they were ending their marriage after seven years. In the statement she shared at the time, Schumer said they would continue to focus on raising Gene together and described the split as amicable.
