Rihanna returned to her native Barbados to take part in Carnival, the island nation’s annual festival, according to E! News. The 38-year-old, born Robyn Rihanna Fenty, attended the Grand Kadooment Day parade on Aug. 3 in a bold, oversized outfit.
For the final day of the month-long celebration, Rihanna wore a look covered in peacock-colored gems and feathers, paired with hot pink booties. The outfit stood out as one of the biggest fashion statements she has worn for the festival.
This was not the first time Rihanna has drawn attention at Carnival in Bridgetown. E! News noted that she has worn a range of memorable looks over the years, including all-white outfits, pink feathered costumes and even a turquoise wig.
In addition to the parade, Rihanna also marked another family celebration on the island. She hosted a Spider-Man-themed birthday party for her son Riot Rose Mayers, who turned 3 on Aug. 1, with partner A$AP Rocky. The couple also share sons RZA Athelston Mayers and daughter Rocki Irish Mayers.
