Queen’s Roger Taylor releases romantic solo single ‘I See You Now’

Roger Taylor has released a new solo single called “I See You Now,” according to Rolling Stone. The reflective song is the second preview from his upcoming album, Violence Insane in a Beautiful World, which arrives Sept. 18 through Columbia Records.

Taylor also put out a black-and-white music video for the track. The video was created by his wife, Sarina Taylor, along with longtime collaborator Simon Lupton.

Speaking to BBC Radio 2, Taylor said the song is a tribute to his wife. He described it as a love song about realizing that you do not fully see someone at first, but over time come to know them more deeply.

The new album will be Taylor’s seventh solo release. He has said the title reflects his view that the world is facing a great deal of violence and upheaval right now. Taylor will support the album with a short U.K. tour beginning Sept. 21 in Newcastle, England, with stops in Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester, Swansea, and London.
