Phoebe Bridgers covers Nirvana’s ‘Lithium’ on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge

Phoebe Bridgers performed a cover of Nirvana’s “Lithium” during BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, according to NME. The song, originally from Nirvana’s 1991 album Nevermind, was presented as a stripped-back acoustic version.

Along with the cover, Bridgers also played two songs from her new album Lost Weekend: “Lost Boys,” the lead single, and “Bobby.”

NME said the Live Lounge session aired on the Wednesday, August 19 edition of the show. The outlet also noted that the performance appears to have been recorded before Bridgers became ill with appendicitis.

Bridgers recently postponed a series of intimate UK shows after posting on Instagram Stories that she had appendicitis. Her album Lost Weekend was released on August 14 and is her third solo studio album, in addition to her work with Boygenius.
