Phoebe Bridgers has cancelled the remainder of her intimate UK performances this week because she is ill, according to NME.
The singer-songwriter had already played two small shows at Union Chapel in London on Monday, August 17, the day of her 32nd birthday. She was then due to continue with dates in Kingston, Brighton and Bristol before the short run wrapped up on Friday.
Bridgers confirmed the news on Instagram Stories, writing, “I got appendicitis for my birthday,” alongside a photo of herself in a hospital bed. She added that “everything in the UK this week will have to move” and promised fans she would make it up to them.
Banquet Records, which was set to host the Kingston shows, said it was working closely with Bridgers’ global teams and would share an update on the rescheduled performances.
