Patrick Mahomes had a rough moment at Kansas City Chiefs training camp on Aug. 1 when a pass attempt went awry and struck offensive lineman Hunter Nourzad in the back of the head, according to E! News.
After a video of the incident spread on social media, Mahomes responded with a joke of his own. He shared a gif from The Longest Yard and quoted the film, comparing the moment to a clumsy pass-fumble scene.
The Chiefs are easing back into camp after an offseason filled with notable moments, including the team’s appearance at Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding in Madison Square Garden on July 3, the outlet reported.
Mahomes is also continuing his return to the field after tearing his ACL last December. He told reporters on July 24 that the recovery process is ongoing and could affect him for the rest of his career, according to ESPN.
Brittany Mahomes has shown support as he works back into football, posting about how good it is to see him doing what he loves again.
