Pat McAfee says Avril Lavigne performed at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding on July 3, according to E! News. McAfee made the remark on The Pat McAfee Show, then later said he had been the first to mention Lavigne’s appearance.
During his July 13 comments, McAfee said Paul McCartney played a song he had not performed in decades, while Stevie Nicks also took the stage. He said Swift was up there with the musicians as well.
On the July 15 episode of his show, McAfee said Lavigne performed “Sk8r Boi” and called her performance “awesome.” He described the musicians as moving in and out of the celebration as different performers were called up to play.
McAfee also said the wedding was unlike anything he had ever seen, praising the scale of the event and saying Swift and Kelce appeared deeply in love. He added that the night brought together people from the football world, Hollywood and Nashville.
