An intruder was taken into custody after trying to get into the Today studios in New York City, according to E! News and the New York Police Department.
A NYPD spokesperson said officers responded at 30 Rockefeller Center just after 9 a.m. on July 16 and arrested an unidentified person described as a disorderly individual. Police said there were no reported injuries, and the investigation is still ongoing.
According to Today, the person allegedly asked for Al Roker, got past security, and entered an unauthorized area in a vestibule near Studio 1A. The individual then approached co-host Craig Melvin, the show said.
Today said it is cooperating fully with law enforcement and reviewing the incident and its security procedures. Despite the arrest, the broadcast continued without interruption.
