Drivers traveling between Maricopa and the Phoenix area should prepare for overnight lane restrictions on State Route 347 and Interstate 10 beginning tonight, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Eastbound I-10 near the Gila River Bridge, between mileposts 173 and 174, will be reduced to one lane from 9 p.m. tonight until 5 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14. ADOT said the closure is needed for repairs to damaged barrier.
On SR 347, southbound traffic will be narrowed to one lane between Casa Blanca Road and Maricopa each night from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday, Oct. 13-15, for paving work.
Northbound SR 347 will also be restricted to one lane from Maricopa to Casa Blanca Road from 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, to 4 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, for paving. ADOT is asking drivers to slow down, obey posted limits, merge carefully and leave extra time for travel through the work zones.
