Olivia Dean is in the middle of four sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden, and Billboard says the second night highlighted how quickly her career has accelerated. The English singer-songwriter reflected on how she went from opening for Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet Tour at MSG to headlining four nights at the arena in less than a year.
According to Billboard, Dean told the crowd on Saturday that she felt more relaxed after getting through the first night. She also noted the milestone of returning to the same venue as the main act after her first arena appearance there as an opener.
The article says Dean’s momentum has included four BRIT Awards, a 2026 Grammy win for best new artist, and two top-five hits on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Man I Need” and “So Easy (To Fall In Love).” Billboard also described her 23-song set as vocally strong and praised the way her band and backup singers supported the performance without overpowering it.
Dean’s setlist included songs from her album The Art of Loving as well as older material, including tracks from Messy and earlier releases. Billboard said she also used the in-the-round B stage for a sing-along and mixed in a cover of Curtis Mayfield’s “Move On Up” during the show.
