Oliver Tree will be honored Saturday, July 25, at a celebration of life at UC Santa Cruz’s Quarry Amphitheater, according to Billboard. The event is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. PST and will also be streamed online for fans who cannot attend in person.
The three-hour program will include live music, tribute videos from Tree’s life and remarks from friends and family. Billboard reports that the livestream will also feature unreleased video content and guest speakers including Diplo, Ethan Klein, Ethan Mercury and Logan Paul.
Tree’s friend and fellow DJ/producer Whethan said he is postponing his planned Las Vegas shows this weekend so he can attend the memorial. The event poster also references caskets for some of Tree’s quirky characters, reflecting the artist’s playful style.
Tree, 32, died in a helicopter crash in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on June 14 while traveling through South America as part of his World First World tour. According to Billboard, all proceeds from Saturday’s event will benefit the Dr. Oliver Tree’s Extremely Epic Grant for Baby Geniuses, a foundation and endowment he created before his death.
