Jack White brought Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes onstage during his Chicago show Thursday night for a cover of Free’s “I’m a Mover,” according to Stereogum.
The performance took place at Radius, where White is touring in support of his new album Frozen Charlotte. The show was one of his smaller no-phones concerts.
Rather than choosing one of Free’s biggest songs, White and Robinson performed “I’m A Mover,” a track from the band’s 1969 debut album Tons Of Sobs. Stereogum described the duet as fast, lively and full of energy.
Even though audience members were not supposed to use phones, White posted his own video of the moment afterward. The article said the two musicians looked like they were having a great time sharing the stage.
