Oakwood Homes is set to make its Maricopa debut this weekend with a grand opening at Moonlight, according to InMaricopa. The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8.
Moonlight is located near Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club on Smith-Enke Road. Guests will be able to tour model homes and look over floor plans in the community.
The first phase of the neighborhood will include 105 homes, with sales expected to begin by early October. Oakwood Homes said this is its first project in Maricopa and its sixth in Arizona overall, along with communities in Colorado and Utah.
Division President Michael Fraley said the company focuses on helping first-time buyers and first move-up buyers, and he said Maricopa fits that goal. He also said Oakwood aims to make homeownership more attainable for Arizona families through energy efficiency and affordable pricing plans.
