North West and Molly Santana have cancelled their joint Kimokawaii Tour, according to NME. The 14-date North American run had been scheduled to begin next month under the name Molly x North Kimokawaii Tour.
Signs of the cancellation began appearing on ticketing and venue websites, with the opening show in Dallas marked as cancelled on Ticketmaster and removed from the House Of Blues Dallas website. Other dates, including a Toronto stop on August 17 and a Los Angeles show at The Novo on August 27, were also listed as cancelled.
West later confirmed on Instagram Stories that the tour would not go ahead. She said she had been excited to hit the road with Santana, but added that she has “something special” planned for fans.
Santana also apologized to fans who bought tickets, saying she understood the time and money many had spent preparing for the shows. She told fans she appreciated their support and promised to make the cancellation up to them.
The tour would have been the first headline trek for North West, the 13-year-old daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. She released her self-produced debut EP, N0rth4evr, in May and later played her first solo festival slot in Chicago.
