Nirosta Steel, the long-running recording project of Scottish-born Steven Hall, has announced two New York City concerts at Night Club 101, according to Stereogum.
Hall was a regular in the New York underground scene in the 1980s and worked closely with Arthur Russell. After Russell died, Hall formed the tribute band Arthur's Landing.
Interest in Nirosta Steel has grown recently following the release of My Skyscraper, a new album from the ULYSSA label that brings together recordings made over many years. The album has drawn strong reviews and online attention.
The shows are set for Thursday, Sept. 10 and Friday, Sept. 11. The first night will include Time Wharp and a DJ set from Kassie Krut, while the second will feature Pleasure Systems and a DJ set from Chanel Beads, who helped connect Hall with ULYSSA.
