Season four of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On got off to a rocky start when hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey sent Alex Johnsen and Jebin John home, according to E! News.
The decision came after Jebin tried to pass Alex a secret note during episode two. In the message, he criticized her for forming connections with other men, but production intercepted it before it reached her.
Nick told the group that communication is a key part of the Netflix experiment and said it needs to happen on camera. Vanessa later told Jebin that his actions showed he was not ready to fully take part in the experience.
Because the show requires couples to participate together, Alex also had to leave once Jebin was removed. Vanessa told her to find a partner who grows and evolves with her, while Nick said Jebin had taken the opportunity away from her.
