A 76-year-old woman in Pompano Beach, Florida, says she was surprised when her new license plate arrived in the mail with the combination “SQZ A55,” according to UPI Odd News.
Nancy Dello Stritto told CBS Miami that she “went ballistic” when she saw the plate and questioned how it could have passed inspection. She said the unusual tag quickly became a topic of conversation in her retirement community.
Dello Stritto said her first reaction was to ask for a replacement plate, but her sons and friends have encouraged her to keep it. She added that she is now resigned to the situation and joked that she may even get a few honks.
According to a Broward County office manager, license plates considered offensive can be exchanged for free at the county office in Plantation.
