Mason Haynes, a security professional who worked with the Kardashian-Jenner family and several other celebrities, died in a traffic accident on July 4 at the age of 52, according to a GoFundMe set up for his family.
The fundraiser described Haynes as someone who made people feel welcome right away and said he was known for going out of his way to help friends. It said he died two days before what would have been his 53rd birthday.
Haynes is survived by his wife, Fay, his daughter, Brooke, his son, Noah, and other family members and friends around the world, according to the fundraiser. Trojan Security UK also shared a tribute on Instagram, calling him an “absolute legend” in the close protection field.
In a 2018 interview with London Now, Haynes said he had worked with Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kendall Jenner and Kanye West, as well as Kevin Hart, Charlie Puth and Lewis Hamilton. He also said he was part of the security team during Kim Kardashian’s 2016 Paris robbery.
