My Vitriol to mark 25 years of 'Finelines' with London headline show

My Vitriol have announced a headline show at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut album Finelines, according to NME.

The band will perform on Thursday December 10, with InMe and Yourcodenameis:milo lined up as support. NME says it will be My Vitriol’s biggest concert in more than two decades, with their last headline show taking place at London Astoria in 2005.

Finelines, released 25 years ago, was given three stars by NME at the time and later described by readers as “album perfect from start to finish.” The album has also been credited as the first nugaze record, a term frontman Som Wardner initially used jokingly.

Tickets go on sale Monday August 24. The report also notes that My Vitriol went on hiatus in 2002, reunited briefly in 2005, and returned again for a UK tour in 2017.
