Makeup influencer Mikayla Nogueira announced that her divorce from Cody Hawken has been finalized after two years of marriage, according to E! News.
Nogueira shared the news in a July 28 video showing her skipping down courthouse stairs in a “Just Divorced” T-shirt. She wrote, “Officially divorced!!!” and said in the caption that she shed tears because she was so happy.
She also used John Lennon’s “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” in the post to celebrate her new relationship status. Nogueira has been openly sharing her split since revealing it publicly in February.
In the months leading up to the divorce trial, she posted about feeling nervous and emotional, including a July makeup tutorial where she said she had been waiting for the day for a long time. She also said she was looking forward to putting the chapter behind her.
Hawken, who underwent rehab treatment last year, asked fans to send him Nogueira’s posts about the breakup in a deleted July 2 tweet, according to E! News.
