A Maryland man is celebrating another lucky break after winning $50,000 from a scratch-off ticket, 11 years after a previous $50,000 lottery prize, according to UPI Odd News.
The Fort Washington man told Maryland Lottery officials he bought a $5 Multiply Your Money ticket from Brother Liquors on Old Fort Road in Fort Washington and scratched it while still in the store.
He said he was surprised by the win, and that the store clerk was surprised as well to have sold such a large prize. His earlier $50,000 win came from a Diamonds and Dollars scratch-off in July 2015.
According to the winner, some of his first prize went toward a new car and the rest remains in his bank account. He said the latest winnings will help pay for a home improvement project, assist a family member, and then be added to his savings.
