Ryan Murphy says Ariana Grande may still have a future on American Horror Story, even after exiting season 13 of the anthology series, according to E! News.
In an interview published Aug. 6, Murphy said Grande told him she was unsure she could balance the show with her tour schedule. He said he understood and agreed it could be pushed to another season if needed.
Murphy described Grande as a close friend and kept details about the role private, but said it was a “very big swing.” He added that he may bring it back in another season if her availability works out.
The creator also said he would “always work with her,” pointing to their previous collaboration on Scream Queens and Grande’s interest in horror. The comments came after Grande announced she would take a break from the public eye following the release of her new album.
