Linkin Park is the focus of a new documentary titled Unshatter, directed by band member Joe Hahn, according to Rolling Stone. The film follows the group’s return to performing after the death of singer Chester Bennington in 2017.
The documentary is set to play in theaters on Sept. 30. Tickets will go on sale Aug. 13 through a dedicated website.
A trailer for the film includes fan reaction from the band’s 2024 show in São Paulo, Brazil, along with interviews with members of the group. In the footage, Mike Shinoda talks about the band’s uncertainty after Bennington’s death and says much of their lives had been devoted to Linkin Park before it came to a halt.
According to Rolling Stone, the film covers the period from recording sessions in 2022 that led to the 2024 album From Zero through the São Paulo concert. It also uses archival footage, performance clips and interviews with the band and fans.
Hahn said the project began as a concert film, but grew into a larger story as filming continued. He said he wanted the movie to reflect the uncertainty the band experienced as they figured out what came next.
