Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian thanked Ellen DeGeneres after she posted a tribute to Kris Jenner’s mother, Mary Jo “MJ” Shannon, according to E! News.
Ellen shared a July 17 Instagram message alongside a photo of Kris and her late mom, writing that she and Portia de Rossi knew how much MJ meant to Kris and her family. She added that she could not imagine the grief Kris is feeling and sent her love.
In the comments, Khloe called Ellen “the sweetest” and said she is such a good friend to her mother. Kourtney also responded, saying the message was very sweet and adding heart emojis.
Kris announced MJ’s death on July 16 and described her as “the heart of our family.” She said MJ taught the family that family comes first and that she showed them how to love unconditionally, find joy in small moments, and face challenges with resilience and faith.
Other celebrities and friends also offered condolences on Kris’ Instagram post, including Stassie Karanikolaou, Selma Blair and celebrity artist Ash K. Holm.
