Leo Woodall has praised Oasis over The Beatles, saying he listens to Oasis more often and calling Liam Gallagher the “coolest frontman who’s ever lived,” according to NME.
The actor said the Beatles are deeply rooted in his family, explaining that his father and great-uncle still argue about who played the first chord of songs. Even so, Woodall said Oasis is the band he puts on more frequently.
Woodall made the comments in an interview with the New York Times while promoting his new film Tony, which was released in the UK on Friday, August 14.
In the film, Woodall plays Sal, an oyster shucker who influences a young Anthony Bourdain during a summer spent working in a restaurant kitchen in Provincetown, Massachusetts. The cast also includes Dominic Sessa and Antonio Banderas.
