A theme park in Colombia has created what Guinness World Records says is the world’s largest piggy bank, according to UPI Odd News.
The ceramic pig at Mano del Artesano -- Pueblito de Barro in Ráquira stands 29 feet, 6.3 inches tall and stretches 33 feet, 11.8 inches long. The structure weighs about 30 tons.
The hollow pig includes a working coin slot where visitors can donate spare change to local animal shelters. Guests can also step inside, where an exhibit explains the history of ceramic piggy banks in the region.
Guinness World Records adjudicator Natalia Ramirez said satellite technology was used to confirm the pig’s measurements for the title. She also said she climbed to the top of the structure to carry out the official coin-drop test.
