La Roux shares new single 'Lose Myself' ahead of album 'Old Flames'

La Roux has released a new single, “Lose Myself,” according to NME. The track is the latest preview from her fourth studio album, “Old Flames,” which is set for release on November 6 through Vertigo Records.

In a statement, Elly Jackson said the song is about “battling between the angel and the devil” on her shoulder. She said the verses focus on struggling to overcome addiction and show up for herself, while the chorus reflects the urge to give in and disappear.

Jackson also linked the song to her experience with an auADHD diagnosis and years of weed dependency, saying she later recognized she had been self-medicating. “Lose Myself” follows the earlier singles “Babyline” and “Cabin Fever.”

“Old Flames” is the follow-up to 2020’s “Supervision” and includes themes of the end of a 17-year relationship, loneliness tied to addiction, and the challenge of reconciling sexuality and identity in public, according to the article.

La Roux is also touring this year across the US, UK, Ireland and Australia in support of Hillary Duff.
