MARICOPA, Ariz. — KOPA 101.3 FM is expanding its local programming with the addition of internationally recognized recording artist and DJ David May as the new voice of KOPA Weather.
Beginning July 2026, May will deliver weather forecasts at the top of every hour, giving KOPA listeners timely updates throughout the day alongside the station’s commercial-free mix of hit music, talk and local programming.
May is a DJ, producer and recording artist whose career includes several popular dance releases. He is perhaps best known for his single “Superstar,” which became one of the 20 most downloaded tracks on Germany’s iTunes platform and received widespread exposure in European clubs and on dance radio stations. His catalog also includes “Facebook Love” and his collaboration with Amfree on a new version of the dance classic “Right in the Night.”
“We’re excited to welcome David May to the KOPA family,” said Michael Feldman of KOPA 101.3 FM. “David brings a distinctive and recognizable voice to the station, and KOPA Weather will give our listeners another reason to tune in throughout the day, especially during monsoon season.”
