Kenan Thompson is remembering his former All That co-star Christy Knowings after her death at age 46. Thompson posted a tribute on Instagram on Aug. 13, calling the loss hard to process and sending love to her family, according to E! News.
In his message, Thompson described Knowings as funny and “a real one,” and encouraged fans to show her support. Other former All That cast members and guests also responded in the comments, including Nick Cannon, Josh Server and Tatyana Ali.
Knowings’ family said she died at a Los Angeles-area hospital, TMZ reported. They said she had been hospitalized on Aug. 7 after an asthma attack that caused brain damage, and she was later taken off life support five days later.
Knowings joined All That in 1997, replacing Tricia Dickson on the show’s fourth season. She remained on the Nickelodeon sketch series until it ended its original run in 2000 and was known for characters including Winter Wonder, Penny Lane and Brenda Stone.
