Katy Perry is giving her new single “Watch It Burn” a social media push with a little help from former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau, who appears in a TikTok posted Thursday, according to Billboard.
The video opens with Perry singing outdoors in close-up before the beat drops and she starts hopping in place. After she moves back, a group of people comes into view, and Trudeau then joins the clip, bouncing into frame and briefly appearing alongside Perry.
Perry captioned the post with a playful message suggesting that hopping to the song would bring “1,000 years of good luck.” Billboard notes that Trudeau seemed to be playing along with what Perry has previously called “supportive boyfriend duties.”
The pair have been dating since last summer and made their red carpet debut in June at the premiere of Perry’s Lifetimes Tour concert film. At that screening, Perry referred to Trudeau as “the love of my life,” according to Billboard.
“Watch It Burn” was released on June 25 and debuted at No. 38 on Billboard’s Adult Pop Airplay chart.
