Kate Gosselin says she is devastated after the sudden death of her dog Meika, who died July 25 at 15 months old, according to E! News.
In a TikTok post shared July 28, the former reality TV star said Meika went into respiratory failure in the middle of the night and could not be revived. Gosselin wrote that she had tried several times to put her feelings into words before sharing the news.
She described the loss as deeply painful, saying she has never felt so broken, angry or grief-stricken. Gosselin added that she, her boyfriend Steve Neild and their other dog Koda have all been suffering since Meika died.
Gosselin asked for time to grieve, calling Meika the closest thing to a child she and Neild would ever have. She said the loss feels especially hard because the dog was only 15 months and 10 days old.
