Jeana Keough is relying on her family to speak for her while she continues treatment for tongue cancer, according to E! News. Her daughter, Kara Bosworth, shared the update on Instagram Stories on July 27.
Kara said her mother is not talking right now because of pain in her tongue and throat, along with mucus caused by radiation. She added that Jeana has been dealing with constant discomfort and has to spit into tissues throughout the day.
Earlier this month, Kara said Jeana was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue. In a GoFundMe update posted July 23, Kara wrote that doctors found the cancer had spread after a second surgery to remove lymph nodes.
According to Kara, Jeana is several weeks into chemotherapy, radiation and immunotherapy, and the treatments have left her exhausted and struggling to eat and drink enough. Kara, along with her brothers Shane and Colton Keough, said they want to make sure their mother feels loved and supported during her recovery.
