A Houston woman says she is giving up at-home pole dancing practice after a mishap flooded two apartments, according to UPI Odd News.
Asha Gilbert was filming herself practicing on July 6 at her west Houston apartment when the pole came loose from the ceiling and struck a fire sprinkler. Video of the incident shows water spraying through the apartment and into a neighbor’s unit.
Gilbert told KTRK-TV she was shocked when it happened and said the pole had only been installed three days earlier. She said she and others were more concerned about the pole hitting a wall than the sprinkler.
Gilbert said the water damage ruined her furniture and forced her to move to another unit. She also said her downstairs neighbor was understanding about the situation.
