Kah-Lo’s latest track, “In This Bih,” has emerged as a major dance music hit, according to Billboard. The song, a collaboration with British producer Chris Lorenzo, picked up momentum after a clip from its music video suddenly surged online.
Billboard reports that Kah-Lo noticed the video had only a few thousand views while she was boarding a flight in Australia in May, then saw it had climbed to more than half a million views by the time she landed. Around the same period, Shazam named it the most Shazam’d track of EDC Las Vegas 2026, and the song has since reached 13.9 million global on-demand streams, according to Luminate.
The article notes that the response has led some listeners to call it the song of the summer, while Diplo described it as the “dance song of the year.” It is not Kah-Lo’s first major success either; her earlier collaborations “Rinse & Repeat” and “Fake ID” both became significant club records.
Billboard says Kah-Lo has spent years building her place in dance music after initially focusing on R&B. That experience pushed her to learn DJing and production, leading to her debut EP, The Arrival, in 2021, her first album, Pain/Pleasure, in 2023, and her own label, Lagos Way Records.
She told Billboard that “In This Bih” came from a late night out in Los Angeles and was made during a session with Lorenzo the next day. While she worried the song might overshadow the work she had done as a solo artist, she said her years of experience have helped her handle its success on her own terms.
