The song choice also sparked confusion among viewers, with some turning to Google Trends to search whether “Everything Hallelujah” was actually part of Bieber’s catalog. Those searches became some of the top queries linked to his name.
Some critics said Bieber should have chosen one of his more familiar hits for such a big moment, but the performance appears to have driven more listeners back to the song. Rolling Stone noted that Bieber has also seen streaming gains after other high-profile appearances, including his Coachella 2026 set earlier this year.
