Bob Marsh endorses AnnaMarie Knorr for Maricopa City Council

Maricopa City Councilmember Bob Marsh says he is endorsing AnnaMarie Knorr in the July 21, 2026 primary election for Maricopa City Council, according to InMaricopa.

In a letter to the editor, Marsh said Knorr has provided steady, community-focused leadership and noted that councilmembers unanimously selected her to fill the remainder of Rich Vitiello’s term after he resigned to run for county supervisor.

Marsh highlighted Knorr’s background in Maricopa, including 12 years on the Maricopa Unified School District Governing Board, where she served as board president. He also pointed to her experience in education governance, healthcare, public affairs and community involvement as preparation for city leadership.

According to the letter, Knorr’s campaign emphasizes truth, transparency and trust, with priorities that include public safety, accountable decision-making, support for families and neighborhoods, and better roads to ease traffic.

Marsh said Knorr has also received support from public safety professionals and described her as a strong choice for voters looking for continuity, practical leadership and a focus on Maricopa’s growth.
