Josh Hart says his 3-year-old twin sons, Hendrix and Haze, are not caught up in the New York Knicks’ recent success. In an exclusive interview with E! News, the Knicks guard said the boys do not really understand the attention that comes with the team’s first NBA championship in 53 years.
Hart said that to his children, he is just “Dad,” while teammates Jose Alvarado, Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby are simply family figures. He joked that, for his preschoolers, the players are “just uncles.”
The athlete also said his sons sometimes notice people taking pictures with him, but they do not connect it to his fame. Instead, Hart said they are mostly focused on having fun at summer camp.
According to E! News, Hart has been enjoying the offseason with time in Bordeaux and Capri with his wife, Shannon Hart, and has also been balancing workouts and recovery as he prepares for his 10th NBA season. He said he feels confident in the Knicks’ group, while also stressing that there is still plenty of work ahead.
