Jessie J and Chanan Safir Colman have announced that they separated some time ago, three years after welcoming their son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman, according to E! News.
In a joint statement posted to Instagram on July 20, the pair said the breakup has been “sad and difficult,” but that they have been handling the change privately and with a focus on creating a healthy co-parenting environment for their son and for themselves.
They also said they decided to speak publicly because they wanted to avoid rumors or an inaccurate version of events circulating online. The former couple added that they will continue supporting each other as friends while remaining Sky’s mom and dad.
Jessie J and Chanan were together for five years before splitting. In the statement, they said their plan is to keep raising and loving Sky together with a positive friendship.
