Craig Revel Horwood is looking back on a frightening attack he says happened while he was traveling in Spain. According to E! News, the Strictly Come Dancing judge said he was stabbed and robbed after leaving a nightclub in Madrid.
On the Aug. 4 episode of his Judgemental podcast with Anton Du Beke, Horwood said he was heading home around 2 a.m. when he was slashed in the stomach with a razor blade. He also said thieves ripped a necklace from his neck and left him with a burn mark.
Horwood said the incident came just before another difficult moment on the same trip, when he was strip-searched by French customs agents while traveling to Paris for an appearance. He said he had not shaved and looked worse for wear after the attack in Madrid.
The 61-year-old also described other unsettling travel experiences, including arriving in Kenya only to learn the hotel he was headed to had burned down. He said a planned romantic cruise in Egypt was also disrupted when several people became ill from salmonella poisoning, though he and a friend did not get sick.
