Jamila Woods is celebrating the 10th anniversary of her debut album Heavn with a short Stateside tour, according to Pitchfork.
The tour begins in Los Angeles on November 16 and includes stops in San Francisco, Portland, Seattle and New York City before ending in Chicago on December 6.
Woods reflected on the album’s impact in an Instagram post, writing that the project was born 10 years ago and helped her connect with more people while building a deeper relationship with her city.
Released in 2016, Heavn was praised for songs that explored police violence, Black femmehood and self-love over R&B production. Pitchfork also noted the album in its list of the 50 Best Albums of 2016.
