Hayden Panettiere and Tori Spelling both canceled planned appearances at Creep I.E. Aftermath, a horror convention held July 10 through July 12 at the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario, Calif., according to E! News.
The convention said Panettiere had an emergency and would not attend that weekend. Her representatives told People that the cancellation was due to a private family matter involving the health of an elderly relative.
Creep I.E. Con also said Spelling had an emergency and could no longer attend. The organization later announced Dominique Swain and Brian Austin Green as replacements for Panettiere and Spelling, respectively.
Panettiere and Spelling were among several scheduled guests for the event, which also included names such as Jamie Campbell Bower, Fiona Douriff, Christopher Lloyd, Mira Sorvino and Tara Reid. The convention website also noted that Christina Ricci, John Carroll Lynch, Carel Struycken, Jimmy Workman and Kevin Durand either rescheduled or canceled their appearances.
