Fontaines D.C. played their first full headline show of 2026 on August 8 in Cádiz, Spain, and used the performance to debut two new songs, according to NME.
The band’s show at Baluarte de la Candelaria was their first in almost a year and their first headline date since the death of their manager, Trevor Dietz. It also came after their performance at the final BBC live session at Maida Vale earlier this week.
During the set, the band introduced “Marianne” early in the show and “Six Shot Morning” during the encore. NME noted that “Marianne” leans into a more industrial sound, while “Six Shot Morning” is built around a spacey synth and pulsing bassline.
Fontaines D.C. have already confirmed they are working on new material. The band is set to continue touring this month with European dates before heading into their Reading & Leeds 2026 headline shows.
