Fatboy Slim welcomed both Simon Pegg and the Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus during his Big Beach Boutique 7 shows in Brighton over the weekend, according to NME.
On Saturday night, he brought 50 members of the choir on stage for a surprise collaboration in front of thousands of fans on the seafront. The group wore matching pink shirts and began with an a cappella version of “Right Here, Right Now” before adding parts of Nirvana’s 1991 song “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”
During the performance, the stage featured a pride flag and the message “Only love can conquer hate.” Fatboy Slim later joined the choir for a louder version of “Right Here, Right Now” that included pyro and a laser show.
The next night, Simon Pegg appeared as a special guest during the final day of the 2026 edition of Big Beach Boutique 7. Pegg had earlier played a surprise DJ set, and footage shared on the official On The Beach Instagram page showed him hugging Fatboy Slim and raising his arms to the crowd.
Other acts on Sunday included Groove Armada, Derrick Carter, Seth Troxler, Special Request and TSHA, according to NME. The event followed Fatboy Slim’s impromptu Brighton set at the “Carnival Against Fascism” march earlier in the month.
